 HEJINIAN will read from Slowly (Lentement) translated by Virginie Poitrasson & The Fatalist translated by Martin Richet.

 LYN HEJINIAN is the author of dozens of poetry books & essays as well as a publisher (Atelos Press). Her works include My Life (re-pub Green Integer Press, orig 1987); A Border Comedy (Granery Books, 2001); The Language of Inquiry (Essays, U of CA Press, 2000); Happily, Oxoto: A Short Russian Novel (The Figures, 1991), The Cell (Sun & Moon, 1992), The Beginner (Tuumba Press, 2002), Slowly (en français translated by Virginie Poitrasson as Lentement), The Fatalist (Omnidawn, 2005), Writing as an Aid to Memory (Sun & Moon, 1996), My Life in the Nineties (Shark Books, 2003), The Cold of Poetry (1994), etc. HEJINIAN has participated in numerous collaborative works including writing SIGHT with Leslie Scalapino (Edge Books, 1999), Qúê Trân with music by John Zorn, a mixed media book with painter Emilie Clark called The traveller and the Hill and the Hill, & currently the 12-volume project The Grand Piano (Mode A, 2006; part 1 appeared in November, other numbers appearing in 3-month intervals in 2007). She translated, with Elena Balashova, 2 collections by Arkadii Dragomoschenko: Description (1990) & Xenia (1993) both with Sun & Moon Press. In addition to her Paris reading, she will be reading with Double Change in the ile de France region and Lyon

 
VIRGINIE POITRASSON, poète française et traductrice d’anglais, est l’auteur de Épisodes de la lueur (L’Atelier du Hanneton, 2004) et Série ombragée (Propos2 éditions, 2006), et la traductrice de Charles Bernstein, Lyn Hejinian, et Michael Palmer. Sa traduction de Slowly de Lyn Hejinian vient de paraître en français chez Format Américain : Lentement (2006). D’autres poèmes et traductions ont paru dans des revues littéraires en France et à l’étranger, notamment : Aufgabe, Upstairs at Duroc, Action poétique, Triages, Décharge, La Polygraphe, Ouste, Boxon.

 
MARTIN RICHET, poète français et traducteur d’anglais, est l’auteur de « Bureau vertical / Onze pour Table » (Les Cahiers de la Seine, 2006) et le traducteur de Barrett Watten, Carla Harryman (« Toujours l’épine est sous la rose » est paru chez IKKO en 2006), Lyn Hejinian et d’autres.
